A new video came out on Veterans Day about a wounded veteran attending Boise State University as part of the Wyakin Warrior program. The producers did a fantastic job telling his story, and in the process they provided an overview of the Wyakin Warrior Foundation.
Here it is (takes about six minutes).
Great job, but what’s up with the camera? They say the camera adds ten pounds, and I can certainly see that in my face. You would think they would fix that.
Especially since the camera chose NOT to add ten pounds to anyone else’s face, and that really bugs me. What, did they decide to use the broken one only during my interviews? I mean, the Soldier looked good. The Admiral looked good. The Governor (he’s the fellow at the podium), the Program Director…everyone looked good. But for me they added ten pounds. Plus my head is crooked every time I talk.
I think it’s a conspiracy.
But aside from that they put out a quality product and the message is a powerful one. The Wyakin Warrior Foundation is a veteran and volunteer led organization that sure could use our support. You can help with the education and training of some great wounded warriors by going to the website at www.wyakin.org.
And if you know some wounded or injured veterans who could benefit from the program, let them know about the website or invite them to call 888-WyakinW.
In the meantime, I’m going to have a talk with the camera guy.
