(Ralph Barrera/AMERICAN-STATESMAN)
You may have heard about Elizabeth Laird, a young lady at the age of 78. Since 2003 she has hugged somewhere around 500,000 Soldiers leaving and returning to Fort Hood. She is often the last face they see before deploying, and the first when they return again. To read about this inspiring lady, read, “Open arms await Fort Hood troops“, by Denise Gamino of the America-Statesman. (Sent to me by Andy, a Navy veteran.)
