I got this note from acclaimed cartoonist T. Brian Kelly: “I was wondering if you know anything about the cartoonist who drew the USN cartoon character on the envelope attached here [circa 1952]. It was sent to me from an old friend in the SF Bay Area. It’s the envelope that contained a letter from his dad home to his mother when they were young and engaged to be married.
