Merry Christmas to you all.
It is not just those in the military who serve. Watch this short video on Christmas eve. Thanks to Cliff, Army combat veteran, for forwarding.
Admittedly this is a niche market, but once a year we can see videos that celebrate the season and fire us up at the same time. This video was made by the son of a Marine to honor his father and others who have served.

This is an excellent video showing photos as you hear President Roosevelt’s famous speech in front of Congress.
This is awesome.
Another thing to be grateful for: the courage and dedication of our Vietnam veterans. Click on the image to listen to a riveting audio as helo pilots take fire. Thank you for your service and sacrifice, and welcome home. Thanks to veteran combat helo pilot Cliff for the link.

Prospective recruits flocked to the tavern, lured by (1) cold beer and (2) the opportunity to serve in the new Corps of Marines.” (USMCpress.com) The Marine Corps has never looked back. Still the toughest. Still the service with…
I was going to write a Broadside Moments tonight, but stumbled upon this most excellent video by the Midshipmen of the Naval Academy. So I figured I would post it instead!
