(Virginian-Pilot)
Anyone who has served in Hampton Roads – heck, anyone who has served on the East Coast – knows the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. This incredible article tells the story of the building of the bridge-tunnel, often told by those who were part of the effort. The project was finished fifty years ago last month. Fair warning – it is a long article, but it is fascinating.
The piece was written by Dave Forster for the Virginian-Pilot, and its title is, “When men split the sea.”
